Indo-US friendship gets Bollywood flavour

Celebrating Indo-US friendship, US embassy in Delhi has released a video in which employees of the American embassy can be seen performing on famous Bollywood dialogues.

The video, titled “Bollywood Dreams” was uploaded by the embassy on Twitter with the hashtag #USIndiaDosti on Thursday.

In the opening, a senior employee of the embassy can be seen playing Gabbar Singh’s character in the video. In his Americanised Hindi, he can be seen delivering famous dialogue “Kitne aadmi the?” from Sholay.

The character of the Gabbar Singh was originally played by late Amzad Khan in the film.

In next frame, a woman employee can be seen acting on a dialogue from Deepika Padukone starrer film Devdas. Paying Chandramukhi she chucklingly asks, “Ek Chutki Sindoor Ki Keemat tum kya jano.”

Twitterati showered praise for the “cute, nice and awesome performance” of the US embssay employees.

A part from showcasing close relation between India and US, the video is seen as a tribute to Shashi Kapoor’s “Mere Paas Maa Hai” dialogue from ‘Deewar’, and Amitabh Bachchan’s famous one-liner from ‘Shahenshah’ among others.
