The CBSE, however, denied allegations of paper leak of its Class 12 Accountancy examination, asserting that all seals were found intact in the examination centres. The board also said that it has approached the police against those spreading "false" news. However, PTI quoted a senior CBSE official saying “At local level, some miscreants may have circulated messages through WhatsApp and other social media platforms to hurt the sanctity of the exam". The official added that the CBSE was lodging an FIR. Delhi Police said they have not received any complaint.

The CBSE has been at the receving end of heavy criticism from several quarters, besides Sisodia.
