A number of exit polls have predicted a win for BJP in Karnataka, while a few others have predicted a split verdict in Karnataka. Two exit polls —ABP News - C Voter and Republic TV Jan ki Baat — state that BJP would gain majority. The former predicted 113 seats and and the latter 114 seats for the national party.
Times Now-VMR, India TV, Aaj Tak-Axis and Suvarna TV have predicted that Congress would gain an upper hand.
However, leaders of all the three main parties, Congress, BJP and JD(S), have claimed that they would stake a claim to run the government because they would get majority.
