Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Choubey was in for a shock when he went to visit dengue patients at Patna Medical College and Hospital. After heavy rains and waterlogging, Patna is now in the grip of Dengue as more than 900 cases have been reported in the city and over 14,00 dengue patients are being treated for it in the state.

The Union minister who is the BJP MP from Buxar went to the Patna Medical College to see the dengue patients.
As he was leaving the premises and was about to board his car two youths reportedly threw ink at him in protest against the government’s passive attitude towards the floods in Bihar. The two men ran away and it was not known whether any arrests were made or not. Ashwini Choubey was later quoted by ANI as saying that "Ink (was) thrown on public, democracy and the pillar of democracy."
