Watch: Karnataka crowd starts leaving before PM Modi finishes speech

PM Modi at an election meeting told the crowd at Santhemarahalli on Tuesday that a BJP storm is coming to Karnataka; however the crowd began dispersing before he finished speaking

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the first of several public meetings slated over the next five days for the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections, in Santhemarahalli in Chamarajnagar district on Tuesday. PM Modi claimed a pro-BJP "storm" is sweeping Karnataka. "We hear in Delhi that there is a BJP wave in Karnataka. But as I see it, it's not just a wave but a storm," thundered Modi. The PM was addressing “hundreds”, according to IANS.

However, the handle @churumuri tweeted a video claiming the crowd began leaving the venue before the Prime Minister finished his speech. The video can be seen below:

Modi's speech was translated simultaneously into Kannada, a first since his visits to the southern state over the past few months. BS Yeddyurappa is the hope for Karnataka and he will soon be chosen as the Chief Minister," claimed Modi. The PM will also address rallies in Udupi and Belagavi districts on May 1.
