In a bizarre incident, a middle-aged woman, her son and daughters were found allegedly murdered in their flat, on the ground floor of a four-story building, located in Modern Housing Complex, Manimajra, Chandigarh, in the wee hours of Thursday. The police entered the flat after breaking the door open and found the bodies lying in a pool of blood with their throats slit.
The only male member of the family, Sanjay Arora, was also found injured along the Kalka-Ambala railway track near Panchkula. The Chandigarh police is suspecting that the man killed his wife (Sarita), son (Arjun) and daughter (Sanchi) over some dispute and later tried to commit suicide by jumping before a train near Panchkula.
Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police Nilambari Jagadale said that it was a clear case of triple murder the assailant used a sharp-edged weapon to kill the three.

Seriously injured Sanjay Arora, who runs a bakery in Panchkula, was rushed to Civil Hospital, Panchkula, from where he was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh, police sources revealed.
Jagadale said that Sanjay would be questioned in connection with the heinous crime. She, however, claimed that it would be too early to comment on motive of the unidentified criminal behind this brutal crime.
After taking the CCTV cameras installed in the area in custody, the police has started investigating the crime, the SSP said adding that a team of forensic experts has also collected samples of blood and other impressions from the crime scene.

Sources in police revealed that it was Sanjay’s employee Karamveer who informed the police about this incident. He had reached the PGI, after receiving the information about Sanjay being injured. He then called up Sanjay’s wife who didn’t answer. Then Karamveer reached Sanjay’s house but found the house locked.
Karamveer peeped inside and found blood lying there, following which the police were sounded. Curiously, the police have also recovered a suicide note from the crime spot, sources informed.
