Students at a school in Karnataka’s Mangaluru recreated the scene of the Babri Masjid demolition and shouted provocative slogans like “mandir wahin bange” (Ram temple will be built at Babri site only) and “Jai Shri Ram” in the presence of high Constitutional authorities including Union Minister D.V. Sadanand Gowra and Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi.
Notably, the Supreme Court in its judgment on the decades-old Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute last month noted that the act of demolition of the masjid on December 6, 1992 was “illegal”. A slew of BJP leaders have also been facing trial for the same.

Several activities were organised at Shri Ram Vidya Kendra in Mangaluru during the school’s sports festival on Sunday. In one of the activities, students were to charge at a big cardboard poster of the Babri Masjid and tear it apart while shouting slogans like ‘Jai Shri Ram’, a video that surfaced on social media showed.
All this happened in the presence of a Union minister and a Lieutenant Governor who also happens to be a retired IPS officer.
The school is run by Prabhakar Bhatt, an RSS functionary and a member of the Sangh’s regional executive committee.
