Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi allotted portfolios to his cabinet colleagues through Governor Banwari Lal Purohit on Tuesday.
Keeping 14 departments including Personnel, General Administration, Mining and Power with him, the Chief Minister allotted the most important portfolio – Home Affairs- to his Deputy Chief Minister (I) Sukhwinder Singh Randhawa besides Corporation and Jails. The Health and Family Welfare department has been given to Deputy Chief Minister (II) OP Soni.

Senior most minister Brahm Mohindra has been given the Local government and Parliamentary Affairs while Manpreet Singh Badal will again be the Finance Minister.
Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa was allotted Rural Development and Panchayats and Animal Husbandry departments while Aruna Chaudhary got Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management portfolio.
Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria has been given the charge of Water Resources, and Housing and Urban Development departments.
Rana Gurjeet Singh has been given the Technical Education and Industrial Training department. Razia Sultana will look after Water Supply and Sanitation, Social Security and Women and Child Development.

Vijay Inder Singla got Public Works and Administrative Reforms and Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been given responsibility of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
The newly inducted Minister Randeep Singh Nabha will be in charge of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare besides Food Processing. Dr. Raj Kumar Verka has been given the charge of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities besides Medical Education and Research.
Similarly Sangat Singh Gilzian will be the Minister for Forests, Wild Life and Labour And Olympian Pargat Singh will look after School Education, Higher Education, Sports and Youth Services and NRI Affairs.
