Ahead of the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi promised a complete farm loans waiver and Rs 25000 as financial help to each family affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Flagging off ‘Pratigya Yatra’ in Barabanki, Priyanka Gandhi read seven vows of the Congress party before the media.
Saying that if voted to power Congress will increase the MSP of paddy and wheat to Rs 2500 per quintal to farmers, Priyanka Gandhi said, “Congress will provide jobs to 20 lakh youths.”

The Congress general secretary in charge of Uttar Pradesh also reiterated 40 percent reservation to women in ticket distribution.
Announcing that electricity bills will be cut by half if Congress is voted to power, Priyanka Gandhi said girls will be provided smartphones and electric scooters.
As per Congress’ plan, a route has been prepared for the ‘Pratigya Yatra’ dividing the state into three parts.

The first route has been prepared from Awadh in Barabanki joining the districts of Bundelkhand till Jhansi, while the second route has been prepared for different districts of western Uttar Pradesh and the Brij region.
Similarly, the third route has been earmarked for the Purvanchal region.
Apart from Barabanki, the yatra will cover the two other cities of Saharanpur and Varanasi which is PM Narendra Modi’s constituency.
The second yatra passing through nine districts will start from Barabanki and end at Jhansi, as per the plan. The third yatra will start from Saharanpur district in western Uttar Pradesh and will conclude at Mathura passing through 11 districts. All these yatras will end on November 1, said Congress.
