Pragya’s Godse remark: Twitterati asks BJP to expel Pragya, some ask her to leave India

The BJP MP Pragya Thakur who hailed Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse in Lok Sabha as a ‘patriot’ created a furore in Lok Sabha forcing the party to expel her from the consultative committee on defence and bar her from attending its parliamentary party meeting in the ongoing Parliament session.

Pragya’s statement also drew numerous reactions on social media with many condemning her and many others demanding that she be expelled from the party.

People were outraged and asked when the party is going to expel her.

Some rued the fact that a person with a background of Sadhvi Pragya (She has been accused of the 2008 Malegaon blasts in which 10 people were killed and 82 more were injured) was calling Godse who shot Mahatma Gandhi a patriot:

Activist Saket Gokhale announced in his tweet that he has filed an appeal with the Lok Sabha Speaker and the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ethics for initiating a breach of privilege against Pragya Singh Thakur for her remarks on Godse:
