81-year old Anna Hazare, who became synonymous with the anti corruption movement and the campaign for Lokpal to prevent corruption on Saturday said in an interview to news agency ANI that if anything happens to him then people of this country will hold Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible.
Anna Hazare has been on indefinite hunger strike under the banner of Jan Aandolan Satyagraha from January 30 demanding the setting up of Lokpal and Lokayuktas to check corruption as the Modi government has not been able to form these anti corruption bodies till now.

Talking to ANI the veteran leader and social activist had earlier said that through Lokpal and Lokayuktas even the prime minister, chief ministers and MLAs can be investigated if someone complains against them and provides evidence. That’s why no party is willing to implement it though the Act was passed in 2013, he had said.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said that the Central government should pay attention to his demands. “Anna’s life is important for us. Do not play with his life”, Lokmat quoted Uddhav Thackeray as saying.
