Controversial BJP leader, Kapil Mishra who was accused of delivering hate speeches and issuing inflammatory comments preceding Northeast Delhi violence in February this year, was trolled heavily for sharing an article on Twitter captioning it as Taj Mahal – A Hindu Temple.
“All scientific evidence prove that Taj Mahal is Tejo Mahalaya, ancient Hindu Vedic temple. For 300 years the world was fooled to believe that Taj Mahal was built by the Shahjahan,” Mishra wrote.

Mishra’s tweet also included a link to an article on a dubious website which substantiates his claim about Taj Mahal being a Hindu Temple.
His tweet comes ahead of the grand event of ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh which will be attended by Prime Minister Modi on August 5.

Many people on the social media mocked Mishra’s comment about the monument and the controversial BJP leader ended up being trolled on Twitter.
Historian and author Devdutt Pattnaik responded sarcastically to Kapil Mishra’s tweet and clarified that "Vedic scriptures do NOT mention temples" and that "Arya Samaj founder Dayanand Saraswati was anti-temples and anti-idols which he saw as against Vedic way".
