On Monday, March 4, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav had tweeted out a video of the NDA’s Sankalp rally where he criticised NDA leaders and ministers who were seen enjoying a dance show after the rally, while a body of a CRPF jawan, wrapped in the Tricolour, that arrived at Patna airport few hours before the rally, saw no one from the NDA turn up.

Earlier on Sunday, March 3, JD(U) national vice-president Prashant Kishor apologised on his party’s behalf after the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government faced flak for not paying homage to a CRPF jawan who lost his life during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir.
“We are sorry for the error of judgement on part of those of us who should have been there with you in this hour of grief,” Kishor tweeted.

The JD(U) vice-president tweeted a video of Pintu’s father, Chakradhar Singh, saying, “It shows how concerned they are about the soldiers.”
Singh had said, “NDA leaders were more concerned about Sankalp rally of (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi. They have forgotten to pay homage to a brave jawan who died for the country.”
Pintu Singh, a CRPF jawan from Begusarai district in Bihar, was among the five security personnel killed in an encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district. His mortal remains arrived at the Patna airport at 8.30 am on Sunday. The Nitish Kumar-led government faced criticism after no ministers or party leaders went to the airport to receive the jawan’s body.
Three hours later, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his state Cabinet colleagues received Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Patna airport, NDTV reported.
Leader of the Opposition in Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav of RJD criticised the NDA government in Bihar. “By not paying tribute to Pintu Singh, the fake nationalists – the BJP and Nitish Kumar – have insulted his martyrdom,” Yadav tweeted. “These are the same people who shed fake tears for the soldiers. In the Sankalp rally, have these people taken a resolve to insult the martyrs?”
