A day after a delegation comprising farmers’ leaders from some states came out in support of the three contentious farm laws, the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) slammed the Modi government for holding talks with ‘fake’ organisations and spinning a false narrative.
Saying that the government wanted to facilitate entry of foreign companies and loot by corporates in the agriculture sector, the AIKSCC – an umbrella body of over 500 farm organisations agitating at Delhi’s borders against the three farm laws – said it was using “diversionary tactics” to draw attention away from the farmers’ problems.
“It is glaringly clear that the government does not wish to listen to the voice of several lakh farmers gathered at Delhi’s borders and is instead trying to garner support from lobbyists and vested interests to fool people,” said AIKSCC.

Debunking the government's claim that the farm laws will help develop modern agricultural practices, AIKSCC said, “Government wants the agriculture sector to go into corporate hands. Corporate sector is a very small employer in India. The main employers in industry are MSMEs and the biggest employer is agriculture. The government is hell bent on increasing unemployment.”
AIKSCC said it had three basic objections:

“The main feature of the laws, which the government does not wish to solve, is that they will promote establishment of private mandis and company’s entering into contracts with farmers,” it said.
Referring to the 5th report of the National Family and Health Survey released recently, AIKSCC said despite having sufficient food, chronic hunger and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) reached alarming levels during Modi government’s regime.
AIKSCC also called for a protest against Reliance products all over the country.
As per its plan, massive rallies will be organized on December 16 in Kolkata, on December 19 in Manipur and on December 22 in Mumbai. The AIKSCC said that a massive rally will take place in Patna on December 29.
