“Missing, MP Sunny Deol” posters appear in Pathankot, Punjab

The Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur Sunny Deol's missing posters have appeared in Punjab's Pathankot which have been put up by the local residents stating that they have not seen the actor-turned-politician for many days.

'Gumshuda ki Talaash (missing) MP Sunny Deol,’ reads the posters which have surfaced at railway station and parks in Pathankot.

This is not the first time when Sunny Deol has been pulled into a controversy. Earlier, after being elected as Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur, he was criticised for appointing a writer as his representative in his absence.

He had nominated writer Gurpreet Singh Palheri as his representative in his parliamentary constituency, Gurdaspur, to "attend meetings and follow important matters" on his behalf. Critics said it proved the actor had no intentions of giving his 100 per cent to his new role.

Deol's attendance in parliament has also been less than impressive. In the first session, he was absent for 28 days and attended only nine sittings, according to records.
