Unfazed by hooting, heckling and gherao organised by the BJP supporters during his campaign trail, former JNUSU president and CPI candidate from Begusarai, Kanhaiya Kumar, mocked PM Modi and said he will pull him down in the election.
Addressing a gathering on Wednesday, Kanhaiya compared Modi with an elephant and said, “If PM Modi is an elephant, I am an ant. I will bite inside his trunk and will bring him down.”
Calling BJP candidate Giriraj Singh Modi’s wrestler and an outsider in Begusarai, Kanhaiya said, “BJP supporters ask me to accept Islam. I respect all religions. It seems, they have lost their mind…They are talking like this because we have poured cold water on their ambitions.”

Terming BJP “a fake nationalist party,” Kanhaiya asked people, “You tell me – are they real patriots who give provocative speeches and spread hatred against Muslims?”
Earlier in the day, Kanhaiya in a tweet attacked PM Modi and blamed him for destroying the public sector companies and the country:
