The BJP government in Gujarat committed a sin by disrespecting Lord Krishna and breaking rules of his durbar, alleged a priest associated with the famous Dwarkadhish temple in Gujarat

The BJP government in Gujarat has committed a sin by disrespecting Lord Krishna and breaking rules of his durbar, alleged a priest associated with the famous Dwarkadhish temple in Gujarat.

Angered by the VVIP treatment meted out to the deputy Chief Minister of Haryana, Dushyant Chautala, priest Akhil Thakar told NH that doors of Dwarkadhish temple were kept open against its usual timing to facilitate darshan for Dushyant Chautala on December 28 which is against the tradition.

Saying that it was done with the consent from the top authority of the district administration and BJP leaders who are members of the management committee, Thakar said he has shot off a letter to the prime minister, drawing his attention towards the incident. Thakar has also sent a copy of the letter to the district administration.

When asked why other priests associated with the temple did not speak up about the incident, Thakar said, “They all live under fear”.

“I don’t fear…even the death. If I get killed, I will get a place at the feet of the Lord Krishna. He is seeing what his worshiper like me has done for him on the earth,” said Thakar while talking to NH over the phone.

Thakar who belongs to the family of the chief priest of Dwarkadhish temple said he does not only perform puja but is posted in the service of the deity.

The 32-year old head of the Jannayak Janta Party, Dushyant Chautala drew flak for going on vacation at a time when farm protest is heating up in his state. Chautala who holds 11 portfolios in BJP-led Khattar government, was recently clicked at an airport in Gujarat.

Though Chautala extended his support to the ongoing farm protest, he is very unlikely to exit the coalition. His MLAs, however, are expected to take some tough stand over farm laws in coming time.
