Reacting to Prime Minisyter Narendra Modi's reply on the motion of thanks to the Presidnet's address in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Congress parliamentary party leader in Lok Sabha said that at last PM Modi shed his inhibitions and quoted Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, and that it was a "great success" for Congress.
"I think we have scored a great success that at last the Prime Minister who used to previously remain reluctant to quote any Congress leader, was today compelled to quote Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru at the fag end of his speech. So, I think this was our great victory," Chowdhury said while addressing mediapersons outside Parliament.

Chowdhury however added that PM Modi in his own reply had disappointed the people of country by not taking up issues such as agriculture, industry, unemployment and also encephalitis situation in Bihar where hundreds of children have lost their lives.
"Modi resorted to old evading tactics - to hoodwink the common people, as if he is still in the election mode. We expected that he would rise above the partisan issues and would be conciliatory in taking all along.

"This is the first session of 17th Lok Sabha where we expect the Prime Minister to be statesman like so that it sets up a tone for a constructive and fruitful atmosphere in the Parliament in coming days," he said.
"However, we also noted that Prime Minister was drawn into our incisive argument, and had to quote Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru ji at the fag end of his speech. I think, that is a great victory for us," the Congress leader said.
