A Bengaluru daily has reported that Bharatiya Janata Party National President Amit Shah lost his cool with BS Yeddyurappa, the BJP’s CM face for Karnataka elections, after a very poor turnout at an election meeting for farmers that Shah was addressing in Mandya.
The report noted the following:
The event on Saturday was slated for Amit Shah to interact with famers in Mandya
However the event started very late and so many of the assembled farmers, who had waited several hours, left the event before Shah arrived
Faced with many empty chairs, Amit Shah lost his cool with BS Yeddyurappa
The daily added that Shas was "visibly upset” and "seething” and made his anger known to Yeddyurappa
The daily said that Shah then “chose not to interact with farmers and instead, delivered a 20-minute long speech”
A BJP leader told the daily that over 2,000 farmers attended the event
However the daily, referring to “sources”, said "only 700 farmers attended the event”
Shah then had lunch with a farmers’ group before leaving Mandya, said the report
