‘Destruction on a catastrophic scale’ is how apocalypse is defined. And what if we are on the verge of it? Former Indian Tennis player Somdev Dev Varman wondered what it would be like in a song that he posted on social media. Listen to the song here:

If I was stuck in an apocalypse
What would I do
Would I hide in a corner,
Would I stand my ground,
If I was stuck in an apocalypse
How would I be
Would those little things still bother me
Will the people come together, will they go
Above and beyond
Till our troubles are gone
But only till our troubles are gone
If I was stuck in an apocalypse
What would I eat
Would I still be a vegan if I couldn’t find
Anything but meat…
Dev Varman, originally from Guwahati, has settled in Chennai. The 35 year-old tennis pro retired in 2017. The Arjuna and Padma Shri award winner tied the knot with Mumbai girl Shiwali last year.
Somdev had created history by becoming the first Indian to win the men’s singles tennis event at
the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and followed it up with both men’s singles and doubles gold in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.
With musical concerts cancelled in the wake of the lockdown in India and large parts of the world, musicians, both professional and amateurs, have begun live streaming on various platforms including Facebook to help people listen to the live music at home.
