Similarly, two FIRs in Maharashtra, one in Uttar Pradesh, one in Himachal Pradesh and one in Madhya Pradesh were filed, under various sections of IPC, against the anchor for spreading animosity among communities, promoting communal hatred, inciting violence and defaming Congress Sonia Gandhi in his show “Poochhta hai Bharat” during a debate on Palghar mob-lynching on April 21.
During the debate, Arnab can be heard using Sonia Gandhi’s name in an indecent manner and referring to Italy without any context, following which several Congress leaders took to Twitter to express their anger.
