The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that swears by nationalism and respect for women, is in the line of fire for hollow slogans and chest thumping. A video showing daughter of a soldier martyred in Kashmir being dragged out of the party’s election rally in Gujarat is generating outrage on social media.
The young woman reportedly wanted to meet Gujrat CM Vijay Rupani during a rally on Friday. But before she could reach the dais, she was overpowered by the cops and forcibly evicted from the venue in front of Chief Minister.
As per local media, the woman in the video is Rupal Tadvi, the daughter of Ashok Tadvi, an army personnel martyred in Kashmir in 2002.

The young woman wanted to complain about her family not receiving their rightful compensation from the state even after 15 years. She along with her mother has been running from pillar to post to get a piece of land allocated to them approved in their name but without any success.
Previously, the daughter-mother had tried to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bharuch to seek his help, but they were not allowed to meet him.
