Freelancing journalist Saurav Dutta, who has been outed in the #MeToo movement, has written an article for Asia Times, on “How to pursue legal remedies after India’s #MeToo”. In the article, he has attempted to inform women what they can do in such situations.
He has been known to pursue women by texting them and calling them on multiple occasions even after a definitive ‘no’. He is known to threaten women who refuse to meet him after he insists they do. Two women have named him as their harasser. One is Bhanupriya Rao a researcher and one is a lawyer who goes by the following Twitter handle @vakeel_saheba.
He is know to use threats of suicide when women refused to meet him. An anonymous woman also claimed that he reached her workplace uninvited to “chat”, which bothered her.
