The ‘Cats’ trailer seems to have horrified everyone who’s watched it

What’s interesting to observe is that everyone seems to be horrified by it, and after ages, Twitter isn’t divided. Maybe the film, once it releases on Christmas will bring people together

Social media is flooded with the reactions ranging from awe to horror since the trailer of Cats dropped. It appears that people can’t quite stomach the cat renditions of their favourite film stars and are quite terrified of what they are seeing.

Yes, the trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical dropped last night and in all honesty, it seems like it is a bit too much.

From the unsettling cat/human hybrids, to the dodgy CGI to Judi Dench’s fur coat, there’s a whole lot to comprehend in the two-minute teaser which offers a glimpse of its star-studded cast.

The trailer has sparked a lot of conversation online, ranging from those who already can’t wait to see the new film, to those who never want to see the image of Jennifer Hudson as a cat ever again.

But despite all the shock and commentary, no one seems to be able to wait to watch the movie scheduled to release in December this year:

The film stars Jennifer Hudson, Dame Judy Dench, Jason Derulo, Rebel Wilson, Idris Elba, Ian McKellen and Taylor Swift, and is directed by Academy Award winning director Tom Hooper. The new movie will most certainly be compared to the original London musical from 1981 and might be a top contender in the upcoming Oscars.

But what’s most interesting to observe is the fact that everyone seems to be horrified by it, and after a long time, Twitter isn’t divided. Maybe, the film, once it releases on Christmas will bring people together?
