Entertainment: Shakira to release new album El Dorado on May 26

The Hips Don’t Lie singer Shakira is back with her new album El Dorado. The 40-year-old songstress took to Twitter to break the news.

"So happy to announce my new album El Dorado—out 26th of May! Shak #ShakiraElDorado," wrote Shakira, alongside the cover of her LP.

The upcoming album follows the chart-topping singer's 2014 self-titled album, Me Enamore. The track of the same name arrived at number 11 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs, charted on April 29, according to Billboard. Recently, Shakira also won the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Award for hot Latin song artist of the year.

KRK apologises to Baahubali 2 director, Rajmouli

Kamaal Rashid Khan alias KRK who is rather infamous for his bizarre and outrageous tweets has apologised to director SS Rajamouli for giving a bad review of the latter’s recent directorial block buster, Baahubali: The Conclusion, which is now nearing ₹1,500 crore-mark at the worldwide box office. KRK had not only criticised the film, he had posted some offending tweets on the film too.

Now that Baahubali 2 has proved to be the greatest hit in the history of Indian cinema, KRK has changed his stance and apologised to the director in one of his tweets.

KRK in fact has nothing to his credit except his tweets and 3.9 million Twitter followers, which is also his only claim to fame. The number of his followers show that weird and outrageous he might be, his tweets do get attention.

But, his bad review of Baahubali 2 could not influence the film’s box-office collection. The review was so offending that not only it received a lot of flak from the Baahubali fans, actor Rana Daggubatti, who plays one of the main roles in the film also blocked KRK on his Twitter handle.

Considering how aggressive and offending KRK has been on social media, his apology tweet has come as a pleasant surprise. And though it doesn’t matter for Rajmouli whether KRK rebukes him or not, he still must have been relieved to feel that KRK’s Baahubali bashing has come to an end.

Don't be disappointed if I don't enter politics: Rajinikanth

Popular as he has been, there was always speculation about Rajinikanth’s joining politics. But he was always evasive. He still was, but this time he left the decision in God’s hands.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth said on Monday, he had no desire to join politics, but if he did, he would show the door to all "money-minded" people.

The actor said he had no political ambition, but was often dragged into political debates despite stressing that he was "neither an influential political leader nor a social activist."

"My life is in the hands of God. I'm not sure what he has in store for me. But I'll always perform the duty that he bestows on me. So, don't feel disappointed if I don't enter politics," he told fans at a gathering here.

In 1996, the 66-year-old actor had supported the DMK-TMC alliance in Tamil Nadu, which swept the polls that year. But he has not been involved in any political activity since then, though there always have been such speculation, he said.

Rajinikanth regretted that he had not been able to meet fans as regularly as he wished to. "I was supposed to meet you all two months ago but had to postpone it to accommodate more fans. So, I cancelled the previous meet-and-greet session. Later, I was supposed to go to Sri Lanka for an event. Again I had to cancel it for various reasons. A lot of media reports followed saying, 'Rajinikanth doesn't stick to his decision. He is apprehensive' and so on."

He shrugged off allegations that he did "certain stunts" before a film's release to ensure its success at the box office. The actor had some advice to give his fans not to touch alcohol and cigarettes.

"Please take care of your families and children. Give up drinking and smoking. Even wealthy people in business have lost their empires because of alcohol addiction, which not only spoils one's physical health but mental well-being, too.”
