Indian films are on their way to make an impression at the Busan film festival. Vineet Kumar Singh who is a critically acclaimed actor will be travelling with his film Aadhaar that has been produced by Drishyam Films.

Busan which has become a very important film market for Indian films will see the premiere of acclaimed director Alankrita Shrivastava's next film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Bhumi Pednekar and Konkona Sen Sharma play a pivotal role in the film. Bhumi said, “Alankrita is someone I’ve wanted to collaborate as an artist. Her cinema is deeply moving and extremely meaningful and she has made a film that everyone will take notice. I loved her Lipstick Under My Burkha. It was brilliant, moving and captivating and Alankrita is just an outstanding person and a director. She has got everything out of me and I loved every second of my collaboration with her.”

Adil Hussain, Neeraj Kabi and Tillotama Shome starrer Raahgir (The Wayfarers) directed by Goutam Ghose, produced by Amit Agarwal will have its world premiere at Busan International Film Festival. The film will be in screened under a Window on Asian Cinema section. Director Goutam Ghose said, “I am happy to know that Busan International festival has invited our film Raahgir (The Wayfarers) for the world premiere in early October. The film is a journey of ordinary people in cinematic time and space revealing the face of humanity. A journey of love and compassion. My actors are wonderful in the film. The technicians have also worked very hard in the difficult terrain to bring out the mood of the story. My producer Mr Amit Agarwal is a lover of artistic cinema. He was so helpful and passionate all through the journey. Busan is a wonderful festival for the opening of a film.”

Actor Tannishtha Chatterjee's directorial debut Roam Rome Mein will also have its premiere at the festival under the section of A window into Asian Cinema.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared a poster of the film and said, “excited to announce that my movie Roam Rome Mein is the official selection for Busan International Film Festival. The movie also marks the directorial debut of my dear friend Tannishtha.”
Bombay Rose is the long-awaited feature debut of India’s leading animator Gitanjali Rao. It is the story of a flower seller who has to make the choice between protecting her family or allowing herself to fall in love. The film also premieres at the Busan festival in the Asian Window section is being produced by Anand Mahindra and Rohit Khattar and financed by Cinestaan. Busan Film Festival is scheduled to be held from October 3 to October 12.
