Tell us about your journey...
It has been a quite a fruitful journey and I have enjoyed whatever I have learnt, whatever I have experienced. I look forward to the future now.
What projects are you presently working on?
I am working on Pagalpanti now and there is also a recreated version of a Madhuri Dixit song.
Tell us a little bit about your upcoming movie Pagalpanti?
Pagalpanti is a complete family entertainer directed by my favourite director Anees Bazmee. So, I am quite excited to be a part of this film
How did you come into acting and what motivates you?
Well, it was by chance. I had won two times Miss Universe of India titles when director Anil Sharma spotted me. He is the one who had discovered Priyanka Chopra too. So, that’s how I got my first role and I did not audition for it. And as far as motivation is concerned, I think I feel motivated by my own passion for cinema and my love for what I do.
When did you decide to become an actor?
I did not really think of becoming an actor. Both my parents are into business and most of my family members have studied science. So, again it was more of coincidence than anything else. One thing kept leading to another and that’s how here I am.
Tell me about a time when you had some difficulty in playing a character. What was the role and why was it challenging?
Well, all the characters I have done were very different. But my character in Hate Story 4 was a little difficult for me. That said, I would like to play more difficult and complex characters
If not an actor, what will you be?
May be an aeronautical engineer or astronaut or gymnast.
What will you say to people who are struggling in the industry?
There are a few cases of people taking extreme steps... I would just say that life is not at all a bed of roses and that’s the beauty of life. You should not feel bad or depressed about the hardships and challenges.
If you are really passionate about something, then push yourself harder. Don’t feel bad about failures. They are an integral part of a journey.
