Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has been painstakingly working towards providing its member workers with the necessary household things during the nationwide lockdown due to corona virus outbreak. FWICE recently started distributing groceries to its member workers. Soon all of the members will be provided with groceries and some monetary help for them to take care of themselves during the downtime.

Taking all the necessary safety measures and maintaining social distancing, FWICE members are reaching out to film workers, dancers of Cine Dancers’ Association (CDA) with food and essentials amid the corona crisis.
General Secretary of FWICE Ashok Dubey said, “We are distributing grocery and essentials packages to all associations that come under FWICE. These associations will distribute the packages to their members. People who reside nearby their associations’ office can collect it from the office without gathering in large groups. Mostly, association representatives are going to the vicinities of workers and distributing food and essentials.”

CDA President Zahid Shaikh thanked FWICE saying, “I am thankful to FWICE for helping our members in these tough times.” Feroz Khan of Junior Artistes Association said, “We are going to homes of our most needy members. One of our members has got a distribution pass. Today, we have distributed groceries and essentials to 150 members.”
The Film Studio Setting and Allied Mazdoor Union which has the highest number of members is also making sure that their members get provisions on time. Gangeshwar Srivastav said, `` we are taking care of our members provisions are being distributed to them.''

Talking about the monetary help that FWICE will provide to its members Ashok Dubey said, “We have asked our members to give us their bank account details and have forwarded these to Salman Khan and Yash Raj Films who are also helping the film workers. Once we receive the list of members who have already received help from these two, we will transfer the monetary help to the remaining ones from next week onwards.”
